About
Take5 Music offers guitar, drums, bass, piano, keyboard and singing lessons at its Geelong studio. Owner and principal teacher Pino Pantano adapts the work to each learner’s interests, from first steps through more advanced playing.
Students learn through songs, technique and music theory, with opportunities to develop playing, singing and performance skills. Standard lessons are 30 minutes. Contact the school about a weekly appointment, longer sessions or online learning.

Standard lessons are 30 minutes, with longer sessions by arrangement. Regular students book the same weekly appointment. One-off sessions for exams, songwriting or performance preparation depend on availability.

Ages and starting level
Children, teenagers and adults can learn from beginner through advanced level. Guitar guidance suggests around six is common, depending on concentration and readiness. The site’s youngest-student examples are not a universal minimum age; discuss your child’s placement.
Home practice equipment
Guitar and bass students need an instrument for practice; ask about suitable sizes before buying. Beginning drummers can practise with sticks and a pad or cushion before buying a kit. Piano beginners can start first, but will soon need a piano or keyboard at home.
Online lessons
One-to-one video lessons are available by prior arrangement using a phone, tablet or computer. Contact Take5 about the instrument, app and setup for your child, or arranging an online trial. No trial price is published.
Learning at the studio
The studio has separate piano and drum rooms and a band room for developing ensemble and performance skills. Drummers can play alongside their teacher on two kits. Ask about a studio tour.
Exams and musical goals
Piano students can prepare for AMEB examinations. Instrumental and vocal work can be combined, and lessons can support songwriting and performance goals. Discuss the pathway that suits your child.
