Karyukai Karate offers traditional Shotokan karate training in a community-focused South Yarra dojo. Children can start with an absolute beginners class or join mixed-level kids training, while teens and senior students train in longer classes with opportunities for kata, kumite, grading preparation and club events.

Free trials must be booked
Trials may not be available during grading or special club events, so booking is essential.
Before class
Participants are asked to cut all nails, remove or cover accessories, bring water and a towel, and arrive 15 minutes before class.
Training frequency
Regular attendance is encouraged, with at least twice-weekly training recommended for fitness and grading preparation.
Uniforms and previous experience
Students with previous karate experience may wear an existing uniform and belt in some circumstances, though a white belt may be more suitable after a long break or when joining from a different karate style.
