About

Yalukit Willam Nature Reserve is the former Elsternwick Park golf course, now opening in stages as wetlands, grasslands and walking paths. The Chain of Ponds, wildflower meadow and Community Edge shelter, picnic barbecues and toilets are open. Gateway Building works continue into 2027, so Glen Huntly Road and Nepean Highway access stays closed; use the New Street entrance at the northern Chain of Ponds. Some planting and construction zones remain fenced. Go for birdwatching and easy paths, and expect a reserve that is still being finished.
