Truganina Park in Altona Meadows has the 100 Steps to Federation basalt staircase, views to the city, bay and Cheetham Wetlands, shared trails and the Time Beacon sculpture. Sheltered barbecues (first-in, not bookable) and toilets are near Queen Street. Dogs are welcome on lead. OSM places the named park in Altona Meadows 3028 rather than Altona 3018. Climb the steps for the lookout, then picnic near Queen Street.
