Good to know
Accessible visit
The Museum has automatic doors at the main North Terrace entrance, ramp access, two lifts and galleries accessible for most wheelchairs and mobility devices. Wheelchairs and walkers can be borrowed at the front desk, subject to availability.
Families with prams
Prams are welcome throughout the Museum, with public pram parking in the North Foyer. A Level 1 Parents Room includes seating, a microwave, toilet and baby-change facilities.
Sensory support
Sensory backpacks with noise-cancelling headphones, a soft toy, fidget toy and communication cards are available to borrow from the front desk.
Food and drinks
The Museum Café is open daily from 10am to 4pm. A coffee van operates on North Terrace on weekdays in the morning.
Discovery Centre
The Discovery Centre is open from 10:30am to 2:30pm on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
