Newcastle Art Gallery is the City of Newcastle’s public gallery at 1 Laman Street, with a 7,000-work collection, changing exhibitions, a cafe and a shop. It is open Tuesday to Sunday 10am–4pm and closed Mondays. Some exhibitions are free and others need tickets, so check what’s on before you go.
