The Museum of the Goldfields at 17 Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie, covers Eastern Goldfields mining history, including gold bars, nuggets and early prospecting life. General admission is free. It is open daily 10am–3pm, closed Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, and opens 1pm–3pm on ANZAC Day. Parking at the Hannan Street forecourt is free.

The museum is mostly accessible, with level access to the ground floor, a lift serving four floors and a unisex disability-access toilet. The first floor of the British Arms Hotel is accessible by stairs only. The lift may be unavailable during high winds or heavy rain.
