MAGNT Darwin is the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory’s principal site on Larrakia Country, with artistic, cultural and scientific collections, exhibitions and family activities in the Discovery Centre.

Good to know
Discovery Centre
A parent-led and self-guided family space with collection-inspired activities. During NT school terms it is open Friday to Sunday, 10:30am–12:30pm; during NT school holidays it is open Tuesday to Thursday, 10:30am–12:30pm. Hours may change and it is closed on public holidays.
Visiting with babies
Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding are welcome throughout the museum. Baby change facilities are available near Sweetheart and in the accessible foyer toilet.
Accessibility
Accessible parking, an accessible foyer toilet, an all-access ramp, chairlift access to upper annex galleries and free manual wheelchairs are available. Low-sensory sessions run on the first Friday of each month from 4pm to 5pm.
Getting here
Darwin bus route 6 goes directly to the MAGNT entrance. Route 4 stops on Gilruth Avenue, around a 10-minute walk away.
