Gippsland Art Gallery sits in the Wellington Centre at Port of Sale. Families can wander free exhibitions of regional art, then step outside along the waterfront. Regular hours are 9am to 5.30pm weekdays and 10am to 4pm on weekends and public holidays. Entry is free. Closed Christmas Day.

Gippsland Art Gallery is Gippsland’s regional destination for visual arts, with six exhibition spaces, around 20 exhibitions each year and a collection of more than 4,000 items spanning historical to contemporary works. Families can explore changing displays and ongoing exhibitions in painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, printmaking, woodwork, textiles, glass and works on paper.
