Good to know

Parking
Paid parking for more than 60 vehicles is available directly outside the prison, with additional paid parking nearby. ACROD bays are available in nearby City of Fremantle car parks.
Wheelchairs and prams
Because of the site’s historic nature, some areas are not accessible by wheelchair or pram. Where possible, visitors with prams may bring children and leave prams downstairs or rejoin their group at ground level; this does not apply to Convict Prison and Tunnels tours.
Accessibility support
Mobility facilities include ACROD parking bays, disabled toilets and free manuals covering areas that cannot be accessed by wheelchair. AUSLAN handheld guides are available free of charge for visitors with hearing disabilities.
Family facilities
Public toilets and a baby-change facility are available in the Gatehouse. Limited luggage storage and first-aid stations are also available.
Closures
Closed on Good Friday and Christmas Day.
