About
Booran Reserve Playground is one of Melbourne's most exciting destination playgrounds, built on the site of a former urban reservoir in Glen Huntly. This beautifully transformed space is immersive, visually stunning, and caters to a wide range of ages and abilities.
The star attraction is a massive 10-metre-high double dome rope climbing net leading to a towering slide — a thrilling challenge for adventurous kids. The playground also features water play with ground sprays and an Archimedes screw water course, flying foxes, in-ground trampolines, a giant birds nest swing, swings with harnesses, a large sandpit with a sand digger, and a spinning Dutch disc.
Sports lovers will enjoy the semi-circular basketball court and multi-sport wall for cricket, tennis, netball and futsal. There are also BBQ shelters, picnic areas, toilets, and interesting historical displays about the site's reservoir past.
Entry is free and the playground is open year-round. Water play operates October to March (9am–7:30pm) and April to September (9am–5pm). Parking is available in Alamar Avenue off Booran Road.
